Home made nut and grain milks

ALMOND MILK


Ingredients

  • 250 g raw almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 1 litre water
  • 2 fresh pitted dates OR A little agave, honey, coconut sugar or stevia with 1 teaspoon vanilla paste

Combine all the ingredients into a high speed blender like a Thermomix  & whizz until mixture looks like cream.

Strain through a fine sieve and store the milk in the fridge

Lasts 4-5 days, makes 1 litre.

Note: You can also use other raw nuts such as cashews, macadamias & hazelnuts. You may also wish to use a combination of nuts.

QUINOA MILK

  • 250 g  cooked quinoa
  • 1 litre water to blend
  • 2 fresh pitted dates OR A little agave, honey, coconut sugar or stevia with 1 teaspoon vanilla paste

Combine all the ingredients into a high speed blender like a Thermomix and whizz until mixture looks like cream.

Strain through a fine sieve and store the milk in the fridge

Lasts 4-5 days, makes 1 litre.
